In addition to colorful Easter eggs, Easter lambs and yeast plaits, these delicious Easter nests should not be missing. They are super quick and easy to make and are a real eye-catcher. A hearty snack or even as a dessert. And as always: many opportunities to create your own creation.
Ingredients:
- 6-8 muffin cups
- 1 tbsp butter or margarine
- 1 teaspoon agave syrup or melted white chocolate
- 2 tbsp nut butter (here peanut butter)
- 5 tbsp puffed amaranth *
- 5 tbsp spelled pops *
- 1 tbsp (white) chocolate
- colorful chocolate peanuts or similar
- optional: a few drops of vanilla extract
*Other foods can also be used, such as puffed rice, quinoa or millet
Directions:
- Heat the butter, agave syrup and nut butter (+ optional vanilla extract) in a saucepan over low heat.
- Now add the amaranth and the spelled pops and mix everything together well.
- Pour the mixture into muffin cups, pressing them tightly around the edges and bottom to create a kind of nest.
- Place the muffin cups in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Melt the white chocolate and add half a teaspoon to the nest. Now put the chocolate peanuts in there.
- It's best to serve the nests cold so that they keep their shape and don't stick. Stored in a container, they keep well in the fridge.
